Mission of the Office of Assessment

The mission of the Office of Assessment is to provide leadership in institutional effectiveness, assessment, and student learning across campus. As part of the Institutional Effectiveness, the OofA focuses on connecting data to decision-makers in the ongoing and continuous improvements of Schools, academic and administrative departments, and multi-unit strategic plans.

The Office of Assessment is especially founded on gathering primary data to assess student learning matched against TCNJ’s rigorous Liberal Learning outcomes, developing sustainable SLOs and curriculum maps for individual departments, and creating systems for all units to gather, analyze, and communicate information that will inform program planning.
